Program Officer- Partnerships & Special Programs

Mr. Cheruiyot is an agricultural development and partnerships professional with over 10 years of experience in project management, research, agribusiness and stakeholder engagement. He currently serves as the Program Officer, Partnerships and Special Programmes at the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF) where he leads the implementation of regional development projects focused on farmer empowerment, agricultural innovation, food security, land governance, youth agripreneurship, and climate-resilient farming systems. His work involves building strategic partnerships, mobilizing resources, managing donor-funded programmes, and engaging with regional and continental institutions to advance agricultural transformation across Africa.


Before joining EAFF, Hillary served as Operations Manager at Williamson Tea Kenya Ltd and as a Research Officer at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) where he contributed to agricultural research, productivity improvement, sustainability certification and farmer outreach initiatives. He holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Science from the University of Eldoret and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Bio-systems and Management from Moi University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Agronomy at the University of Nairobi and is passionate about promoting sustainable agriculture, strengthening farmer organizations and driving inclusive rural development through research, innovation and partnerships.
