Ms. Elizabeth Nsimadala

EAFF Regional President

Ms. Nsimadala is a Ugandan agripreneur and smallholder farmer who currently serves as President of the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF). She is also a Board Member and former President of the Pan African Farmers Organization (PAFO), as well as the former Africa Representative on the Board of the World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO). In addition, she serves as a task force member for AU–EU Cooperation in Agriculture and sits on the boards of several regional and continental institutions, including the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), the Africa Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS), and ACTESA/COMESA. She also chairs the Advisory Board of the National Alliance of Agricultural Cooperatives in Uganda.

Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Project Planning and Management from Ndejje University, Uganda, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University, Kampala. She has also undertaken professional training in women farmers’ leadership at Andreas Hermes Akademie in Germany, and in cooperative development, agroprocessing, agricultural marketing and logistics management in Israel and China.

Through her leadership and advocacy, Elizabeth has received numerous recognitions and awards for her contributions to agricultural policy discourse, climate change initiatives, digital technology adoption, and youth and women empowerment in agriculture.
