Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Mr. Muchiri is a seasoned agricultural professional and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF). He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in horticulture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, as well as a postgraduate diploma in business management.
With over 24 years of experience in the agriculture sector, Muchiri has built an extensive career in farm management, agronomy, and farmer organization leadership. At EAFF, he leads the implementation of the organization’s 2021–2028 strategic plan, focused on promoting farmer entrepreneurship, strengthening agricultural value chains, and fostering partnerships with governments, private sector actors, research institutions, and development partners. He has successfully mobilized over $70 million in project funding and spearheaded initiatives in agricultural policy, climate resilience, youth and women empowerment, and institutional development.
